Quantum Mechanics & Molecular Spectroscopy (Physical Chem.-II)

Quantum Mechanics and Molecular Spectroscopy (Physical Chemistry–II) is a textbook meant for the students of B.Sc. Chemistry.  The book is divided into three units. The first unit focuses on quantum mechanics. It presents the fundamental concepts of classical mechanics, quantum mechanics and MO theory. The second unit deals with a brief introduction to spectroscopy and it mainly gives emphasize on rotational and vibrational spectroscopy. The third unit presents the fundamental theoretical aspects of electronic spectroscopy. It also discusses the basics of NMR and ESR spectroscopic techniques. Each unit contains lots of solved problems that illustrate various kinds of calculations as well as exercises placed at the end of the chapter. Both these problems and exercises are designed to provide practice in applying techniques and insights obtained through study of the chapter.
